Completing her undergraduate studies in Michigan, USA, Batsila Marianthi studied at the Department of English Language and Literature of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki where she received her first Bachelor Degree, while in 2017 she received her second Bachelor Degree in Spanish Language and Culture at the Hellenic Open University. In 2003 she received an annual Postgraduate Training Degree in the Administration of Educational Units from the School of Humanities of the Hellenic Open University. Similarly, in 2004 she received her first Postgraduate Degree in the Specialization of English Language Teachers in teaching methodologies, in 2009 her second Postgraduate Degree in Education and in 2013 her Postgraduate Degree in Leadership and Management, while in 2017 her Doctorate Degree in Milton Keynes, UK, Department of Languages.
Since 2016 he has been teaching the courses “Teaching Methodologies” and “Teaching methods for Specialty Courses” at the Higher School of Pedagogical and Technological Education in Greece. Since 2018 until today she has been teaching the courses “English I”, “English II”, “English terminology in Informatics” and “English Terminology in Biomedicine” in the departments of Informatics with Applications in Biomedicine, and in the department of Mathematics of the University of Thessaly, while she has also taught “English” and “Business English” in the Department of Informatics & Telecommunications of the University of Thessaly.
She taught English in the public Education Sector (General and Vocational) for more than 18 years, while from 2011 to 2021 she worked as an English Language School Advisor and Educational Planning Coordinator for primary and secondary education English language teachers of Thessaly. She has trained a vast number of English language and other specialty courses teachers on teaching methods and educational planning. She has supervised theses for graduates of the Higher School of Pedagogy and Technological Education, she has participated as an oral language assessor of English language levels in many English language examinations, she is a member of educational boards, a member of conferences organization and scientific committees, a member of the editorial board of journals, a reviewer of international and Greek scientific journals and conferences, an evaluator for English language teaching materials of the Ministry of Education and study programs. She has written four books and has announced and published her work in many conferences and journals in Greece and Internationally with references to her work.
