The Curriculum of the Department of Mathematics includes courses, which are spread out into eight semesters, correspond to normal attendance conditions and are adapted to the minimum possible number of semesters required to obtain the degree. The courses are divided into four categories:
- compulsory,
- elective courses per scientific area of Mathematics,
- elective courses of general and pedagogical knowledge, and
- foreign language courses.
The content of the courses and indicative bibliography can be found in the corresponding list of each course.
The course lists include the codes, the titles of the compulsory and elective courses, the weekly teaching hours of theory (indication Th), practice (indication P) and the laboratory (indication L), and the material of each instructive form, their total workload through the respective ECTS and the time sequence or interdependence of the courses
Course coding
The digits of each course ID refer to the following:
- the first digit corresponds to the semester, where the course is included.
- concerning the second digit: if it is 1, it corresponds to a compulsory course or to a foreign language course, if it is 2 it corresponds to an elective course of
or to a course of free choice from General and Pedagogical Knowledge (EGPK).
- Regarding the third digit: if it is 1, it corresponds to compulsory and/or to elective courses of Analysis, if it is 2, it corresponds to compulsory and/or elective courses of Algebra and Geometry, if it is 3, it corresponds to compulsory and/or elective courses of Statistics, Probability and Operational Research, if it is 4, it corresponds to compulsory and/or elective courses of Computational and Applied Mathematics, if it is 5, it corresponds to elective courses of Physics, if it is 6, it corresponds to elective courses of Didactics, if it is 0, it corresponds to free elective courses of General and Pedagogical Knowledge.
- the next two digits correspond to the serial number of the course by order of appearance in the semester.
