Description
- Elements from elementary number theory: Integer divisibility and congruences modulo m, Fermat’s little theorem.
- Elements from ring theory: Rings. Fields. Polynomial rings. Homomorphisms. Ideals and quotient rings. Applications.
- Elements from group theory: Symmetries and permutations. Homomorphisms. Normal subgroups, quotient groups.
- The first isomorphism theorem from vector spaces, rings and groups.
