Panagiotis Papadopoulos is a graduate of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics of University of Thessaly. He obtains an MSC in «Informatics with applications on Security, Big Data & Simulation» of the Interdepartmental Program of Postgraduate Studies in “Informatics and Computational Biomedicine” of the Departments of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics and Computer Science and Telecommunications of the University of Thessaly. In 2020 he was awarded a PhD degree by the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly for the PhD Thesis entitled “Algorithms and Advanced Methods for Video Compression in Large Scale Systmems”.
His research interests are mainly in vido compression and coding methods in large scale parallel systems, as well as methods of machine learning using neural networks for a more efficient video coding and streaming.
He has been appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications of the University of Thessaly with research topic “Improvement of Video Coding and Streaming Using Machine Learning Techniques”.
He is an author of papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings, and he has participated in international and panhellenic conferences.
