Dr. Vassilios Dimitriou graduated from the Mathematics department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with grade 8.7/10 (Excellent). During the first year of his undergraduate studies, he was awarded by the Greek Scholarship Foundation (IKY) for achieving the highest mean grade among all his colleagues in that academic year (8,76). In 2004, he received his Master of Science in “Statistics and Operations Research” from the Mathematics department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with grade 9.2/10 (Excellent) and got a scholarship for obtaining the highest mean grade in the first year of his graduate studies (8,9). In 2005, after taking the first grade position (19,08/20) in the written exams by the Greek Scholarship Foundation (IKY), he succeeded in taking the relevant scholarship for attending his Phd studies, which he completed in 2009. He has taught the courses of Statistics with the use of P/C, Operations Research, Quantitive Methods, Quantitive Methods in Decision Making II at the Technological Education Institute of Serres, Statistics Ι, Operations Statistics, Operations Research at the Technological Education Institute of Larissa, the course Stochastic Strategies and the statistical packages SPSS and S-Plus at the Mathematics department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the courses Combinatorics, Probability Ι at the Mathematics department of University of Thessaly, the course Mathematics and Statistics at Department of Food Science and Nutrition of University of Thessaly, the course Biostatistics στα at the departments of Animal Science and the department of Public and One Heath of University of Thessaly. He is the author of ten (10) articles in international peer-reviewed journals and of seven (7) papers in refereed conference proceedings. Finally, he is a reviewer in eight (8) international journals in the field of Statistics and Operations Research.
