Efrosyni-Alkisti Paraskevopoulou-Kollia received her BA from Department of Early Childhood Education (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, School of Education), her MA in Educational Studies from University of York (U.K.) and her PhD from University of Crete in 2006 (Sociology of Education, Department of Philosophy and Social Studies). She has conducted three post-doctorate research (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Crete and University of Thessaly) and has given guest lectures at Universities in Greece and abroad. Since 2009 she has been teaching at the University of Thessaly (Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, Department of Computer Science and Telecommunications, Department of Mathematics, Department of Physics) at undergraduate and postgraduate level, while she has also taught at other Universities in Greece and Cyprus: Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, European University of Cyprus, Hellenic Open University, former Technological and Educational Institute of Western Greece, of Ionian Islands, School of Pedagogical and Technological education in Patras, in Argos, in Livadia, Police Academy and Fire Academy.
Her academic and research interests focus on Educational Science, Methods of teaching various scientific subjects, Sociology of Education and Methodology of Educational Research. She has written two (2) monographs-books, one (1) book with co-authors, three (3) chapters in books and twenty-two (22) articles in international and internal scientific journals with 220 references in the literature (Google Scholar until October 2021). Her book ‘Teaching Philosophy to Non-Philosophers’ consists of teaching material in four (4) Departments of Greek Universities and the book she has written with her co-authors, ‘ICT in Education Sciences: designing Teaching Scenarios’ consists of teaching material in three (3) Departments. She has supervised undergraduate and graduate theses and is a reviewer in seven (7) scientific journals in the field.
