Panayiotis Bobotas is a graduate of the Department of Mathematics, University of Patras. He obtains an MSc degree in “Computer Mathematics and Decision Making” from the Interdepartmental Program of Postgraduate Studies of the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics, University of Patras. In 2010 he was awarded a PhD degree by the Department of Mathematics, University of Patras. His research interests are mainly in Decision Theory, Parametric Statistical Inference, Multivariate Analysis, Survival Analysis with Censored Data. He has held postdoctoral appointments at the Institute of Statistics, RWTH Aachen University in Germany, as well as at the Southampton Statistical Sciences Research Institute, University of Southampton in UK. In addition, he has served as a Research Associate at the Department of Statistics and Insurance Science, University of Piraeus. He has taught a variety of courses at the Technological Education Institute of Patras, the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics, University of Thessaly, and the Department of Mathematics, University of Patras. He has authored papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings, and has participated in international and panhellenic conferences. He is a referee for scientific journals of the field.
